CLE Subcommittee on Teaching, Learning and Technology Leadership and Innovation

The Office of the Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President (Information Technology) has been involved in refining the E-Learning Report over the past few months. Two recommendations in this report concern the establishment of a Centre for Creative Learning Initiatives and a Teaching, Learning, and Technology Council. Both are intended to play central roles in the future direction of e-learning on our campus.

In a recent meeting of the Committee on Learning Environments (CLE), it was determined that it would be appropriate to form a subcommittee to discuss the implementation details of the organizational structure, governance, and relationship with other e-learning units of these two entities. This subcommittee is comprised of approximately 12 representatives from various stakeholder groups and from CLE. We anticipate that 3 to 4 meetings will be held and plan to present our recommendations at the January CLE meeting.
